Masala ...

Now that I have successfully uploaded my old stuff (no photos, but after all), I should now tell a bit of news, even if those are not very many.

Let loose in the apartment. Now that I have now spent almost months in my hotel, it is now time look for a permanent home. Normally, the AIESEC members provide here is for all interns to find something, but now today when I finally was allowed to first have a look at proposed apartment, I was disappointed. It began well: in the vicinity of a large street with many shops, a good starting position. But then: the way to the apartment complex! With each meter that I left through the small side street of the great ones, I moved deeper into an ever-area slums. This becomes ultimately always felt in the gaze of people. Downtown I feel unobserved, but in simple areas, I feel clear again and again for what I am an attraction here. Anyway, we come to the house. For here it was better. A relatively new large housing complex is shielded by security people, the ordinary people Of ignition. You feel always and again that this is a two-or multi-tier society. Then ... a fancy elevator, looks good. But then the apartment, 6 people, 2 per bedroom (of which there are 2) and 2 in the living room, or more precisely, only one in the living room and then the "bed" which for me is there. However, one can not really call Said frame a bed, a wooden rather Rueckenzerstoererpritsche. No thanks! Moreover, relatively messy. No, somehow it is not. Conclusion: I must have look for yourself something and fast! Let's see what place this way. I will report ...

Chapter 2: Dancing, dancing ...
Finally: disco in Mumbai! Thanks to the right connection I'm on the guest list. Hidden in a residential area close to the back of an upscale hotel is the entrance to the place of desire. People queue to, look like typical Partygaenger: stylishly dressed, cool. Seems to ever be a Prolosache. Good. It is 23 clock, the disco is empty. I'm surprised, because ultimately the scales do here already close by 3. Prices are sick or just serge says that in Germany, which I do not think ok, because who is going to afford this? Yet this is yes. By high prices closes one of those you will not here. The price you pay for it really only be "between themselves". The profit margin must be great. Well, at least I had to pay only 15 € entrance and collect more and more Praktis. The music is cool, finally. When one here listens to the radio or can I watch Indian MTV, we see the same Popmatsch that we have in Germany, just music for the simple mind. Here it is better and the mixture is fun: 50% Indian music, 50% of what we know so, and: the Indian music rocks. Hip-hop or electro with country-specific influences. Can I recommend. After I was dancing since ancient times for the first time again, I felt a little stiff at first, but after 3 hours I was completely in my element. You know me, once I started, I hear no longer. I here would like to Andrew, my favorite party rockers (Hey Andson, haste Jeles dat?). Oh, and who would have thought, especially "Hot" it's not her, but all have fun and the funny foreigners, which are so close together in dance course certainly many looks. ; D happy again.

Chapter 3: National Sports in practice ...
It was finally time for me to understand not only cricket but also play. So last weekend it went on to the nearest sports shop to get a simple Cricketschlaeger and a few balls. This racket is even cooler than a baseball bat, more like a board to Waescheschlagen beautiful and difficult. Does what martial. I then played with Nitesh and all the hotel staff in the hotel car park. As the experts may know, there is a small target in cricket the three Holzstaeben to meet, in which the batsman stands with his bat and tries to chip away the ball. If he succeeds, he can start running on a 20 meter long course and for every path he makes, the ball is returned them, there is a point. But if one of the bars hit the batsman is out and is replaced until the team has no more. Then the other on it and have to make more points. This is now much easier, but it makes sort of. But now the practice, for to take ball is lighter than I thought and makes animal fun. The ball is to hit really hard in the right direction. Throwing is also funny, although I have since refused all beautiful. The hotel had a lot of guys have fun and with all Force and as we threw a wooden chair instead of the three Holzstaebe used this was shot after 2 hours of game pieces in which the hotel manager, who arrived then, was not particularly funny. Since then I have not come about, but I am pleased to have the next time.

Chapter 4: Indian hospitality.
The weekend, which is just ending was a nice. On Saturday evening I was invited by my boss to her parents and was the first time non-Aueslaender visited at home. Her parents were really nice and made me of course crammed with all sorts of goodies. I was told I may in no case "No" to say, so I later "Rather not," said to me to keep from Nachauserollen. We laughed a lot and I was told again of Hinduism. I am beginning to look increasingly gaining acceptance, although this is not simply the many gods and stories. Today was a whole group of trainees and invited me to an AIESEC here back home to a bit in the swimming pool of the housing complex where he lives to paddle. The water was freezing and we were laughed at, because the Indians could not imagine that we Aueslaender in India anything colder will find as they could, so I created the theory that we have in our lifetime simply not recorded enough temperature, the to tolerate much cold. Convincing that was not, but still entertaining. Then we were by his parents with food verwohent and I had to once again find that homemade food is better than the restaurant. Again, I was declared Hinduism and slowly I get more and more people with my accumulated knowledge to impress. Who does not love when a Aueslaender understand their own culture and knows? A relaxed Sunday and now I'm sitting here ...

Last Chapter: riots!
4 days ago it was here in Mumbai in some places very nice round. A month ago, were in a small village 300 kilometers from Mumbai, a number of people killed due to a low caste family brought by relatives of a higher caste and raped the women. The relatives of the lower caste, then to the neighboring village It marched to the Uebeltaetern revenge, but were prevented by the police. Eventually the police had in all sorts of local villages in the state increased presence shows and after last week, the memorial to a well-known in disputes of these lower caste was damaged, it was here in Mumbai to violent outbursts that appealed especially to public transportation and police. Several buses and trains were set on fire and there were 4 deaths and many injured in the riots. In some small village located in the neighborhood, a two-day curfew imposed and now everything is quiet. I have not even noticed by all this, only from the newspapers and news about it and I was glad. But it may be that here again soon breaks out, the problem is not solved: Many people feel the state and not protected or respected the power of order and see no other way than of violent resistance. The next hot day is in just over a week. As an important holiday, and thousands said caste is meeting here in Mumbai. May it be peaceful. I wish you all here.

Well, now enough of the reports. I'm sitting in an internet cafe and my stomach growls. I greet you all with all my heart. Stay tuned! You are the best!
