jaaaaaaa! It feels good to finally surf again on a fast data stream! This Internet cafe here near my new place, finally has a capable connection and now I want to use to visually vollzuspammen you with all the pictures that have accumulated for me in recent weeks ... in this long dry spell with sub-2kB-Connections ... So get ready for visual over-stimulation, or simply just watching instead of always just my yard long tirades read (Apropos: thanks for the patience, but no thank you to who are too lazy, D). Let's go ...
dinner in the hotel room ... from left to right: Simon, Nitesh, May, and I
subsequent celebration ...
and poses ...
And again poses ... Ana, May, Why do I always forget that name only?, Magda, Simon, Nitesh
No, this is not a gay Paaerchen! In India, keep men who are good friends, like to the hand or even closer ... a colleague told me recently that is because that they had until marriage as little physical contact with women because you satisfy his need for physical proximity to that same way, but completely asexual. Whether it's true? No idea ... somehow it always looks as sweet.
henna hand painting a la India ... Looks better than in Germany, right? It really is the original!
My two favorite hotel employees ... asks me not by name ... I can well remember more, but in the beginning all the names sound too strange to realize they are; D
I've probably already mentioned, but I'll probably have to repeat again: the cow is the highest priority road users. Normally, the stronger the shots, but makes a cow even the local bus lot, even on the highway ... that's really laid back
Mumbai Downtown ... the sea promenade (Marine Drive)
Ah yes, finally, I was again in the 5-star hotel in one of the hottest clubs in town on the guest list for free and celebrate ... This is the lobby and the man next to Ana Maria and May is Juan, a Spaniard who earns his money with exotic guitar accompaniment to the clean atmosphere (and incidentally every day for free the best buffet I've ever experienced, enjoys).
On the left: Mridul, my favorite room-mates, a true Punjabi and computer programs-in-German translator. With the guy here, I sometimes hours until late into the night discussing about music, movies, our different views and policies. Too bad he now lives in the far east of the city and I in the West. To the right: Manish, the man against whom I have no chance in table tennis, although I've been training almost daily in the hotel!
magnificent building, right? It is the Mumbai police headquarters ... since, the German police But take even a role model ...
After the cricket match: Nitesh, at all my favorites are (with the Cricket Schlager), and a few hotel employees (by the way very cool) ...
classified in many parts of a business to the next and many sell their goods easily from one level built in the middle of the road, like this: colorful as ever ... by the way: men dress for our taste, relatively "normal", while women wear traditional clothes, almost always. This is usually a salwar, a very long, by the side slit shirt that is more like a dress, including Pajama, light fabric pants and VERY IMPORTANT a large cloth that wraps around the chest and shoulders. It's usually choose the combination of very colorful, while men are more modest colors ... the women's clothes I find the way, really nice here ... sometimes a little flashy, but the nice thing is that the cut makes it look elegant, almost every woman, even if they do not Modelkoerper. Speaking of saris often seen, of course, but they are belly-free, which in turn fails in many cases rather very inelegant ...
And finally, two impressions from the road ...
That's all there hopefully soon ... I hope soon to an Internet connection at home to have and then there are aussenrum pictures of new stall in the slums and my new roommates ...
I greet you all with all my heart. Over There chills me not there, now cold in Berlin. I think of you!
Au revoir, mes ami (e) s.
